If you are considering donating your eyes, kidneys, heart, or other vital organs, it is important that you fill out paperwork and let your family know ahead of time. Many well-meaning donors forget this important step. If their survivors protest, without documentation-and family members knowing about the documentation-the donor's wishes may not be followed.
