City of Eugene Emergency Home Repair Program

The City of Eugene has deferred loans for emergency home repair. Help is available to low-income property owners to correct conditions that create an immediate threat to the health and safety of the occupants or could cause rapid deterioration of the structure.

City of Eugene Low-Interest Home Rehabilitation Loan

The City of Eugene has low-interest or interest-free loans available to city residents with low and moderate incomes for home repairs and improvements. Property must be located in Eugene city limits.

City of Springfield Chore Program

Aids low-income seniors and disabled homeowners in caring for themselves at home by providing assistance in home and yard maintenance which is beyond their physical and financial ability.

City of Springfield Emergency Home Repair Program

A grant program for low-income households needing emergency structural, electrical, plumbing and heating repairs, and for modifications of rental dwelling units for disabled tenants.

City of Springfield Housing Rehabilitation

A deferred-payment loan for owner occupied, single-family homes needing substantial repairs. Property must be located within the Springfield city limits.

Family Caregiver Program

Program offers minor home modifications, minor maintenance and repair, as well as assistive technology, respite, resource information, limited transportation, activities, and caregiving supplies and training. Sponsored in Lane County by Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Lane Community College, and Senior & Disabled Services, a division of Lane Council of Governments

      This program provides for the installation of energy saving materials to homes of income eligible households. This includes renters as well as homeowners. For more information, call the above number or the the CNCS Grand Island office at 308-385-5500.

   Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB)

      Weatherization Plus program. You may receive up to 100% of the cost to install insulation and other energy-saving improvements. To be eligible you must: 1) be a Eugene Water and Electric Board customer; 2) rent or own a home or apartment that is heated with electricity; and 3) have a low income. For an application or income information call EWEB.

      For households at 125% of federal poverty level, the Weatherization Program will assist Lane County residents with insulation for attic, walls, pipes, and under-floor. Install low-flow showerheads and sink aerators and provide client education.
   State Home Oil Weatherization Program

      Free energy audits to homeowners and renters who heat with oil, propane or wood. The audit qualifies homeowners to apply for a 6 % loan or cash rebate for weatherization items recommended in the energy audit.
